Open Mic Night at St. David of Wales - This Friday! - Open Jam starts at 6:30, show starts at 7:30

Please plan on attending our monthly Open Mic Night at St. David's this Friday, March 3rd! 

Come on down and support your Taborgrass friends as they get on stage - or put together a few songs by yourself or with some friends and perform yourself! All levels welcome on stage and you'll find a very supportive and encouraging audience.

Festivities start at 6:30pm with an open jam and we'll have pizza available. Bring your own beverages please.  Adult beverages are OK. Show starts at 7:30pm.

Come join in the fun to participate on stage with a sound system, or just come to cheer on your friends! We’ve enjoyed bluegrass, opera, poetry, country music, story telling.  

Suggested donation is $10. Please throw another five bucks in the jar if you are having pizza. 

Linda and Greg will gladly be your back up band if you like.

Attention Taborgrass Jammers! 

 

These are students at Taborgrass who are no longer attending the morning or afternoon classes and are here to jam and maybe join a session. I will now be posting assignments each week to bring to the Saturday jamming in an attempt to refresh some of the tunes and songs in our vast music catalog.   

These assignments are for the jamming only.  Not the classes or the sessions. 

The assignment this week: 

• Big Mon
• Temperance Reel
• Head Over Heels

Attending classes or sessions is $10 per class and per session.

Mountain Honey and Sunny South with John Reischman (from the Jaybirds), Sunday, February 26th at 4pm

Mountain Honey is very excited to be sharing the stage with mandolin great John Reischman and his brother Steve with Sunny South on Sunday, February 26th at the Fremont Theater from 4pm to 7pm Happy Hour show. 

 

The Fremont Theater is a new venue in Portland that showcases the best bluegrass in town every Sunday.  They are located at 2393 NE Fremont St. 

 

Put this show on your calendars.  Not to be missed.  NO COVER!  Hope to see you there!

The forecast is for temperatures to rise into the 40's by mid-afternoon and the streets and sidewalks should be ice free by late afternoon if the forecast is accurate.
