The Portland Audubon Jam starts Sunday, September 1, 2019.

This is a monthly bluegrass jam sponsored by the Oregon Bluegrass Association and organized by Rich Powell.   It starts at 12 noon and continues until about 4:30 p.m.   Come for all or part of the day!  There's lots of room for jammers and listeners, plus great views and Audubon's educational displays and gift shop.   

It's held at the Audubon Society, 5151 NW Cornell Road, Portland, OR 97210.  There is a parking lot across the road, and additional parking is allowed on wide shoulders of Cornell Road. 

If you've seen announcements that this jam starts in October, please adjust your calendar because it's starting in September this year.  Confirmed dates for the rest of 2019 are October 6, November 3, and December 1.

Labor Day Weekend Picking Party at Mel and Charlie’s Featuring the Greg Blake Band and Corral Creek!

Join us at Mel and Charlie's Place on Labor Day Weekend, Friday thru Sunday, August 30, 31 and September 1, 2019 for a picking party, with camping, jamming, open mic, workshops, potluck and concert, and Sunday morning gospel jam.

  

$25 Suggested Donation - proceeds go to the band. Gate opens noon Friday. Concert begins at 7:00 pm on Saturday. Potluck - 5:30 Saturday evening; Biscuit and gravy breakfast on Sunday morning.

Mountain Honey at Muddy Rudder Public House, Thursday August 29th!

We hope everyone has been enjoying their summer! We want to invite you all to the Muddy Rudder this coming Thursday the 29th to cheer on Mountain Honey as we will be performing some new stuff starting at 8pm.

 There is also great pizza and a wide beer selection. Come and join the fun. Looking forward to seeing you there!

Mount St. Helens Bluegrass Festival: Toledo, WA. August 9th to 11th.

I gotta say this is one of my favorite festivals. It’s located on the High School grounds, there is wide open lawn and beautiful oak groves to camp under. You have to get there early to find a spot under the oaks. There are band scrambles, a gospel show on Sunday, workshops and a snack shop.Showers too. You will probably get a friendly visit from the General, the man in charge, driving his golf cart through the festival grounds each day.
